SONIC TIDE: Ocean Soundscape Generator
Sonic Tide is an Ocean Soundscape Generator which sonifies real-time data from NOAA Stations around the United States. The soundscape evolves as atmospheric and ocean conditions change, as well as the predictions from NOAA on sea level rise in the next 120 years at their different stations. The program is created with Max and is available for download as a standalone application on Mac OS! It can be used as an ambient sound generator, or for art installations. Please note that a WIFI connection is required to use the application!
